“I have used Daren as a trainer on several different occasions. From starting a 2 year old under saddle, to teaching a 15 year old gelding to tie and trailer load properly. It didn't take long to realize the difference between a well trained horse and a horse that is "broke" is the important fundamentals, the "basics" of training. Like teaching your horse to give to pressure, to give to the bit from the ground and in the saddle. Daren covers these steps thoroughly, and it makes all the difference in the world. A lot of trainers will push your horse to the next step before its ready, and that's where people run into problems down the line. “Just a quick note to say thanks.  I was having lots of trouble getting Robin to stand still for mounting, both from the ground & at a mounting block.  This was an ongoing problem that I never took the time to address.  I mainly found someone to hold her or fought briefly & then gave up.  Last week I made up my mind it was time to take action & I remembered what you taught at your clinic.  I worked for about 30 minutes, forcing her to disengage her hip every time she moved or backing her up when she stepped from the mounting block.  In the dozen times I’ve been up to ride since then she hasn’t moved a hair.  It worked like a charm & I am kicking myself that I didn’t take the time to correct her before.  Since then she has stopped fighting me on a lot of other little petty things as well.   I just wanted to say thanks again…”

“I want to thank Daren Stoeckel for the wonderful job he did training my three year old quarter horse, Apollo.  I did  a lot of research before I sent him off to just "any trainer".   I was told about Daren Stoeckel Training by an Equine Specialist from Purina Mills Feed.  So I called Daren and spoke with him on the phone for an hour about his training techniques, what my expectations were, how I would be using Apollo once he had 60 days on him etc...  I discovered he used natural horsemanship methods, which is what I was looking for in a trainer.  As a result of our phone conversation, I was convinced he was the trainer for us.  Throughout the 60 day training process, Daren encouraged me to come to his facility watch him work with Apollo.  I also watched him with other horses he was training and discovered that he establishes a connection with the horses that is rarely achieved by most trainers.  He teaches your horse to do things because your horse has learned it and wants to do it, not because he has been scared into doing it.  

Once the 60 days were up, Daren spent time with me teaching me what how to ride and continue training Apollo, using his methods.  When I left with Apollo, Daren assured me that if I had any problems or questions he would help me through them.  It has been a year since Daren trained Apollo, and I can say that he has truly been thoroughly and correctly trained.  I have sent many people to Daren and they have had the same results!”
